On 24 April 2025, as part of a public health response by the British Pest Control Association to Birmingham’s bin strikes, a campaign was launched to raise awareness of increased pest risks and direct residents towards professional support. Aimed at the general public affected by the strikes, the campaign provided clear advice while signposting users to BPCA member companies where issues escalated.
I was responsible for the full visual direction and design of the campaign, developing a completely new look distinct from previous work. All design assets were created entirely from scratch, with no use of stock imagery, ensuring a clear and cohesive visual language tailored specifically to the campaign.
Using harsh angles, bold colours and a simple illustration approach, the graphics reflected the severity of the situation while remaining accessible to a broad audience.
I produced the billboard adverts displayed across Birmingham, a printed news article, and digital advertising assets for the website, all created within a very short turnaround to ensure timely deployment.
The campaign was distributed across digital displays throughout the city and hosted on the Birmingham Live website to maximise visibility and public reach.
